How Did I Find Coaching?

In 2019, I was leading a team as the Director of Employees and Operations at a healthcare company.

On paper, I was successful. I was hitting career milestones and living the dream. Beneath the surface, though, I was crumbling.

ADHD had me stuck in autopilot mode. I had big goals but could not seem to follow through. My relationships felt strained, and I was constantly chasing the feeling of being caught up.

The self-criticism was relentless. Why can’t you just focus? Why can’t you get it together? Maybe I’m not cut out for this. I was spinning in a cycle of doubt, perfectionism, and burnout. I was always pushing but never feeling like I was enough.

Does that sound familiar?

Then one day, during a mindless social media scroll, I stumbled on a post from a coach I admired. It hit me like nothing else had before. It was my wake-up call.

Here’s what I realized. ADHD was not the enemy. My patterns were.

I had been trying to outwork my brain, hustle harder, and organize my way out of overwhelm. What I really needed was to understand my ADHD brain and work with it. When I embraced my ADHD as a superpower, everything began to shift.

I started working with coaches who helped me rebuild from the inside out. No more productivity hacks that did not stick. I learned to manage my energy, simplify my routines, and focus on what truly mattered.

Slowly, I started following through on my goals, rebuilding relationships that honored who I was, and creating boundaries that gave me peace.

Through this process, I also learned how ADHD was impacting my relationships. Divorce taught me hard truths about communication, emotional regulation, and the patterns I needed to own. It was not just romantic relationships.

Friendships and family connections were affected too. I had to break the cycle of people-pleasing, advocate for myself, and redefine what connection really meant to me.

I know what it is like to crave meaningful relationships while struggling to keep up because your brain is always ten steps ahead. I also know the exhaustion of chasing goals without a roadmap that works for you.

  • I’m an ADHD coach who believes in blending real-world experience with creative exploration. My background includes a Master’s in Human Resource Development and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, but what truly fuels my work is a deep understanding of how we can harness our unique strengths.

With formal training in improv from The Second City and years of theater experience, I’ve learned the power of stepping into different perspectives, connecting authentically, and navigating life's complexities with humor and empathy.

My coaching approach isn’t just about achieving goals; it’s about embracing your full, unfiltered self and turning your challenges into your greatest assets. I continuously invest in my personal growth, because I believe the more I evolve, the better I can serve my clients.

My spiritual path began in the United Methodist Church in small-town Kansas, but today, my connection to the Divine is ever-evolving. I pray to God, meditate in nature, and offer gratitude to the Universe. I even celebrate life while dancing under the moon. For me, spirituality is a celebration of the soul in human form…a constant expansion.

I believe the mind is curious like a child, the body holds ancient wisdom, and the soul is timeless.

  • II live in the Dallas, Texas area with my husband, Dave. He is my favorite human. He’s my partner in every sense. We’ve built a conscious, loving, and respectful relationship where we both feel safe to evolve and express ourselves fully. He’s been my boyfriend for 12 years and my husband for 7!

As a highly sensitive Cancerian, I’m a blend of structure and spontaneity…a weight-lifting yogi, an Emmy-nominated improv comedian, and someone who loves clean living but also embraces indulgence when the moment calls for it.

When I’m not writing run-on sentences, doing downward dog, performing at The Comedy Arena, or exploring nature with Dave, you’ll find me meditating with my Sangha at The Mystic Mandala.
